High Intensity Interval Training

Introduction to HIIT - what to expect, what level to pick, what equipment will be needed!

TO WORKOUT!

 

TABATA:  

involves 8 exercises. Each exercise is done for 20 seconds, and

repeated 8 times. There is a 10 second recovery, and 20 seconds to start the

next exercise.  This is a 30-35 minutes workout.

 

HIIT:

involves 4 - 7 exercises, each for 30 seconds.  You will move quickly from one movement to the net and then repeat the entire set of exercises 3-4 times.  This workout is 15 - 25 minutes long. 

This is a fabulous way to lose weight, tone quickly and effectively, and feel great. You will receive 1 introductory video, 3 HIIT videos, 3 TABATA style videos, and 1 Stretch and Release video.  

These programs are divided into three levels - Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced

Beginner:  for individuals just getting back into exercise or with injuries that need modifications.  All patterns will be non impact and options to help with balance will be shown.

Intermediate:  for individuals who have been physical active.  The movements are kept to non impact or minimal but harder more intense options are given that involve weight on elbows, and hands, as well as balance challenges

Advanced:  for individuals who are very active and want a more intense workout.  Higher impact patterns will be utilized as well as weight bearing and balance movements.  Less modifications are given. 

Equipment:  

  • mat

  • 2 gliders (face cloth/paper plates/plastic plates work)

  • chair for balance at the beginner level

  • access to a wall for beginner level 

  • ottoman or small bench to go down to elbows for holding positions if unable to weight bear on wrists

  • hand weights is optional but at the intermediate and advanced levels will increase the intensity

membership list.  You will receive a confirmation email.  This will allow you then to log on.  After you have picked

a level and completed payment - Subscribe to our YouTube Channel Mobile Fitness and Pilates Studio Fiona Hermanutz.  We will send you the links to access via email and YouTube, the classes you have chosen.

Pilates and HIIT Classes

ZOOM ONLINE INTERACTIVE CLASSES:  

We are very excited to offer our new On Line Program.  Our classes will start on March 30.  A monthly schedule will be posted.  You can are pre register for a set time and day or do drop in.  Check our calendar for our schedule OR check under the CLASSES tab for a printable schedule. Classes will be using ZOOM as our meeting place.  We will be allowing 10 participants per class.  There will be two main types of classes offered.  HIIT and Mat Pilates.  Some classes will be no prop, and others will have props.  The schedule will specify this.  

The Mat Pilates Program is divided into TWO levels - Beginner/Intermediate, and Intermediate/Advanced

The HIIT Program is one level - options will be given

Beginner/Intermediate:  for individuals just getting back into exercise, with injuries that need modifications (please get approval from a physician) and those that are newer to Pilates or are wanting to keep the movements less intense.  EG) on the wrists for balance work)   All patterns will be non impact and options to help with balance will be shown. 

Intermediate/Advanced:  for individuals who have been physical active and understand Pilates terminology and principals.  Harder more intense options are given that involve weight on elbows, and hands, as well as balance challenges.  The tempo, flow, and cueing is faster.  

Equipment is dependant on the class chosen:

  • mat only for no prop Mat Pilates classes

  • 2 gliders (face cloth/paper plates/plastic plates work)

  • chair for balance at the beginner level

  • access to a wall for beginner level 

  • foam roller - long

  • large fit ball or stability ball

  • small pilates ball

  • hand weights - HIIT or option for more intensity in Mat Pilates classes for some movements

  • free spirit and passion to mov

NEW  TO MOBILE FITNESS AND PILATES STUDIO:  lOG IN as a member on our site - TOP RIGHT CORNER.  We will accept your log in and add you to our membership list.  You will receive a confirmation email.  This will allow you then to log on and we will have your contact information. At this time we will send you a waiver form and a PAR Q to fill out and return.  

 

REGULAR CLIENT OF MOBILE FITNESS AND PILATES STUDIO:  We have all your information :)  No worries at all.  

ONCE ON OUR CONTACT LIST - ZOOM LOG IN:  Once you have looked over the packages and have picked the package you would like - let us know and we will invoice you directly.  Upon payment - we ask that you pick the days and times you want to attend a class.  If you want a set time, set day for the entire month - we can do that.  Simply let us know.  If you want drop in here and there on different classes, that is great too.  We will send you an invitation from ZOOM.  Simply accept it and when it is time to attend your class - log in.  WHERE - at the bottom of the email it will say "Mobile Fitness and Pilates Studio Fiona Hermanutz is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting".  Under that it will say "Join Zoom Meeting"  Press that link and away we go. The instructor will be on 5 - 10 minutes early to set up cameras etc and greet you.  If you have an issue connecting in - Please text 780 668 1910.  

MISSED YOUR CLASS:  2 hours notice is required should you plan to miss your class. This allows us to have someone else attend in your place.  Less then 2 hours notice will be considered attending and your pass will be used.
